Sustainable Prayer: Lectio Divina as a Spiritual Grid for a Post-modern/ Post-colonial Context

This session will explore the practice of Lectio-Divina as a means of living a sustainable life of prayer. A cursory introduction of the practice will be followed by a discussion of both the philosophical and practical uses of Lectio Divina for both individuals and faith communities seeking to navigate the current and future Post-modern/Post-colonial waters.

Bio:

Matt Huett is currently the Director of Spiritual Formation at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Matt’s interests are varied and wide-ranging. He is currently exploring the use of Lectio Divina as a spiritual grid for life within emerging circles. Matt has been married to his lovely wife Nicole for the past 9 years and they share a home with a precocious pup named Sadi in Bartow, Florida.
